Cuyahoga County Public Library seeks youth volunteers to support at-risk students

Cuyahoga County Public Library’s Maple Heights branch is also home to the Centers for Families and Children.The Cuyahoga County Public Library is inviting local high school students to get involved and make a difference this fall by volunteering for the library’s after-school Student Success Center.

To volunteer, students must be at least 14 years old, pass a background check, attend a training session and complete an application available on theThe Student Success Center provides academic support to at-risk K-8 students, helping them improve their grades and comprehension in subjects such as language arts, math, reading, science and social studies. It also aims to boost students’ self-esteem and foster a positive attitude towards learning.

Volunteers are needed at various library branches starting Sept. 11, with opportunities available Monday through Thursday.
