County planners want to activate the Detroit-Superior Bridge with a public event as plans proceed to permanently reopen its onetime streetcar level.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County will open the lower level of the Veterans Memorial Bridge, AKA the Detroit-Superior Bridge, for a two-day public art event during the summer solstice weekend of June 21-22.. The goal is to activate the architecturally impressive level of the bridge as a prelude to county plans for greater public access in the future, possibly year-round.
