CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the man shot in the Flats Saturday morning and MetroHealth Medical Center ruled his death as a suspected homicide.
26-year-old Deablo Simmons of Cleveland was transported from Old River Road to Metro on Saturday where he later died, according to the medical examiner Monday morning. Cleveland Police confirmed that one person was shot in Flats early Saturday morning and Cleveland EMS said it responded to 1771 Center St. at 7:11 a.m. for a man with a gunshot wound who was transported to the hospital in critical condition.Our crews reported seeing multiple bullet casings across an intersection blocked by Cleveland Police around 8 a.m. on Saturday.
