Hayward, Mountain House eateries in the works
Curry Pizza House has opened a restaurant in Foster City and is eyeing sites in Hayward, San Mateo and Mountain House. The rapidly expanding Curry Pizza House chain has opened its newest restaurant location in Foster City — that’s No. 22 for California — and is eyeing San Mateo, Hayward and the newly incorporated city of Mountain House for its next locations.
Founder Gursewak Gill, who opened his first shop in 2012, is known for his creative mix of pizzas, chicken wings and and sides using traditional Indian spices and flavors.Fresh finds: 8 great Bay Area farmers markets for summer delights Both “crafty curry” pizzas and classics are offered. Wing flavors include curry, mango habanero, lemon-pepper, barbecue and achari. For creative sides, check out the Baked Masala Chips and Desi Garlic Sticks.
Details: Open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 p.m.
