In 8th grade, students conclude their middle school tenure with four days in Selma, Birmingham, and Montgomery, Alabama, delving into the Civil Rights Movement in the American South.
9th graders engage in a year-long study of food insecurity and action, partnering with Capital Area Food Bank. 11th grade focuses on conservation and environmentalism, culminating in a week of guest speakers, service, and advocacy at the DC Council.at a local non-profit or business — then returns to campus to share their work with the middle and high school.beyond the physical walls.
