Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 has started filming, as revealed by a funny NSFW set video. After some speculation that season 11 would be the HBO show's last, creator and star Larry David made the surprise announcement earlier this year that Curb Your Enthusiasm would be returning for a season 12. Later, showrunner Jeff Schaffer said the writers were working on season 12's scripts and aiming to start shooting in the fall.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY On Instagram, J.B. Smoove shared a video from the set of Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 revealing that production has officially begun. Smoove starts the set video by introducing some of the show's beloved cast members, such as Jeff Garlin and Susie Essman, before taking the opportunity to promote his stand-up comedy tour, sparking a light-hearted spat between him and David.
As revealed by the new set video, Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 will bring back of most its core cast along with David, including Garlin as Larry manager's and best friend, Jeff Greene, and Essman as his shrill and overbearing wife, Susie. Smoove is also back as Leon Black, who moved in with Larry in season 6 and has lived with him ever since. Judging by the Curb Your Enthusiasm set video, it appears Larry and Leon's hilarious antagonism is still alive and well heading into season 12.
With Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 starting production in the fall, it likely won't finish filming in time to air early next year. Instead, it's much more likely the new season premieres in mid-2023. With Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 now in production, it shouldn't be long until there are more substantial updates about the upcoming installment, such as what celebrity guest stars or season-long story arc audiences can expect to see.
