ALBANY, N.Y. — New York state Assembly members may enter the final stages of their impeachment inquiry into Gov. Andrew Cuomo before September and plan to release their findings publicly at that time, a key lawmaker said on Monday.
"Our investigation remains confidential, as it should be, and at the appropriate time — and as early as later this month — we will discuss the evidence publicly in an open and transparent manner once the investigation is either completed or close to completion," Assemblymember Charles Lavine , the chair of the commitee, said in opening remarks.
