It’s 'not even questionable' that New York will need the additional time, Cuomo said.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo extended the state’s social distancing guidelines for an additional two weeks in a Sunday press conference—which will end after Easter, President Trump’s hoped-for date to re-open the country and jumpstart the economy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

It was “not even questionable” that New York would need the additional time to continue flattening the curve as coronavirus continues to spread, Cuomo said. Cuomo said the hospitalization rate is now doubling every six days, as opposed to every two or three days, and the rate of daily intubations for coronavirus patients is also trending downward.
