The school district announced that Superintendent Dr. David Christopher’s last day will be Dec. 1, 2023, as he prepares to start a similar job in an eastern Pennsylvania school district.

He previously held the deputy superintendent position in the North Allegheny School District near Pittsburgh. “While I am excited for this new opportunity, I am also sad to be leaving such a great place,” Christopher wrote.“There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Christopher’s absence will be noticeable.
“I wish Dr. Christopher nothing but the best as he begins his next chapter. He is a first-class educational leader but an even better person. He will be missed in CV,” Dunn added. Wrote Christopher, “I will be forever grateful for my time here at Cumberland Valley and forever grateful for the support that my family and I have received here. It has been the honor of my life to lead this district, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
