Does the enduring popularity of made-for-TV horror films like ‘Gargoyles’ and ‘The Night Stalker’ signal new life for small-screen cult classics that are largely no longer available to view?

But those were rare exceptions.
Undoubtedly, the transitory nature of the made-for-TV movie and the medium’s intimacy contributed to the lasting impact of these films — if only in the memories of those who tuned in at impressionable ages.
