What'll it be, nachos, fajitas or a steak? Culpepper Cattle Co. sells it all. The second Culpepper in Dallas-Fort Worth is expected to open May 1, 2024 in Deep Ellum.
Pope’s company UNCO made a splash at this Deep Ellum address already. Inside the Continental Gin Building, UNCO also operates a. Culpepper, located on the end of the historic building, provides yet another spot for dinner and drinks in Deep Ellum.“The same spirit that makes the original Culpepper Cattle Co. iconic will be recognizable in a new way at Continental Gin Building,” Pope said in a statement.
Over the years, Culpepper in Rockwall was stocked with trinkets from original owner Michael “Dobber” Stephenson’s travels. One room was dedicated to aviation memorabilia. Another had taxidermy. It was sold to Bob Clements in 1992. Pope and his company were the third owner, saving it from closure after 40 years.
