Cuckoo hits theaters this summer.
Euphoria star Hunter Schafer is hunted by a mysterious creature in the first trailer for Cuckoo. Written and directed by Tilman Singer, the upcoming horror film also stars Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick. Cuckoo, which earned positive notes out of the Berlin International Film Festival and South by Southwest, follows Schafer's Gretchen and her family as they move to a resort in the German Alps where increasingly strange events begin to occur.
The trailer follows Schafer's Gretchen, a 17-year-old who reluctantly leaves her home in America to live with her father and his new family in the German Alps. There, she encounters her father's enigmatic employer, Mr. König, who displays an unusual fascination with Gretchen's half-sister, Alma, who is mute. Suspicions soon arise in the seemingly serene vacation spot as Gretchen becomes startled by strange sounds, unsettling visions, and a shocking family secret.
