Niblett, who begins his job at CU this week, replaces Brett Bartolone, who left CU to become the offensive coordinator at Nevada. A legendary high school coach in the South, Niblett had a career record of 281-67 in 26 seasons with four different schools. He has spent the past four years as the head coach at Gainesville High School, leading the Red Elephants to the Class 5A state championship game last month. Prior to coaching at Gainesville, he was the head coach at Hoover High School for 14 seasons, going 171-26 and winning six state championships. Prior to Hoover, Niblett coached at two other Alabama high schools, going 51-14 with a 2004 state title in five years at Oneonta High and going 14-18 in three years at Oxford High.
