Chicago Teachers Union members are calling on Mayor Lori Lightfoot Wednesday to extend parental leave improvements to CPS staff.

"And that is why I am here today to ask the mayor why? Why are you leaving out a division of city workers that is comprised of 80 percent women?" CPS teacher Alli Soldner said. Teachers gathered on the first floor of City Hall, vowing to keep making noise. Jeanette Taylor, 20th ward alderwoman, came to support them.
