Cruz, who secured the first win of his professional career last month as he attempts to repeat his father’s rapid rise in the sport at a young age, now appears to be slightly taller than the 183cm Spanish star.Cruz Hewitt is all grown up - and taller than Carlos Alcaraz.“How’s there only 3.5 years between these photos of Lleyton Hewitt’s son and Alcaraz,” tennis influencer Bastien Fachan tweeted.Aussie tennis fans were also salivating at the staggering development.
But Lleyton’s rise from that point was meteoric. After entering the rankings in 1997, he won his first tournament the following year - beating Andre Agassi on the way to a hometown victory in Adelaide.Cruz has often had a front-row seat to greatness because of Lleyton’s ongoing role as Australia’s Davis Cup captain.
