This vastly underrated anime started out with a problematic theme that could have turned some potential fans off immediately and then didn't seem to have a strong enough focus for many episodes to help cement it as something people could wrap their heads around.
The series did have its potential ties to Kaguya-Sama early on that could have expanded viewership, but that could have just been chocked up to the show's sporadic delivery. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be until much later in episode 5 that The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devilfinally made the Kaguya-Sama similarities official, and many likely needed affirmation more quickly to stay.
The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil is clearly delivering an incredibly emotional moment with feelings of humiliation, share, frustration, anger and betrayal tormenting its cast of suffering characters.
