Republican leaders of the House Homeland Security Committee want CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz to commit by Wednesday to appear on Capitol Hill to explain what happened.
Visibly shaken, CrowdStrike CEO apologizes but can’t offer timeline for full recovery “While we appreciate CrowdStrike’s response and coordination with stakeholders, we cannot ignore the magnitude of this incident, which some have claimed is the largest IT outage in history,” Rep. Mark E. Green of Tennessee and Rep. Andrew Garbarino of New York said Monday in a letter to Kurtz. Green chairs the committee and Garbarino leads its cybersecurity subcommittee.

It said members of the House Oversight Committee and House Energy and Commerce Committee are separately requesting briefings from CrowdStrike.
