as a recruiting tool to less populated areas where pay is not on the same level as urban or suburban districts. Devers ISD in Liberty County has been on the four-day schedule for several years, but the district is only 200 students and accounts for grades 1-8. Most districts in Liberty County have either just approved the measure or are in the first or second year of implementing a four-day week.
