Later on, Vax adds some magical abilities to his arsenal thanks to his connection to the Raven Queen, known in The Legend of Vox Machina as the Matron of Ravens. Offering himself as a sacrifice to the fey goddess in order to save his sister from her influence, Vax winds up walking the dark path of a vengeance paladin. This ends leads to Vax opening up a new array of supernatural powers to him, including the manifestation of black, raven-like wings and a divine smite he can apply to his weaponry.
