Appearing to commit to the next 12 months of his footballing career at Old Trafford in an interview in which he voiced his faith in incoming manager Erik ten Hag, the Portugal captain has insisted that"things need to change" in the red half of Manchester. "I believe that Manchester will be where they belong. As I say before, sometimes it takes time but I still believe.
"It's still my motivation to carry on. Just working hard. I still love the passion for the game. And of course Manchester and my teammates helped me all the way so I have to appreciate all the people who help Cristiano.
