According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be close to getting his wish to leave Manchester United in this transfer window. SLInt MORE:
The Portugal international reportedly sees Atletico as a club that could provide a"platform to compete in the UEFA Champions League and for LaLiga", and has been impressed by Diego Simeone's"eagerness" to work with him.
Ronaldo returned to United in August last year on a two-year contract but is determined to secure an exit after the team failed to qualify for next season's Champions League. While manager Erik ten Hag has insisted the ex-Real and Juventus talisman is not for sale, Ronaldo is yet to arrive for pre-season training, due to a"family issue".
