Jed Wallace, a crisis management specialist, filed a $7 million countersuit against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for defamation and extortion, seeking at least $400 million in damages. Wallace is named in Lively's lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, the director of 'It Ends With Us', alleging sexual harassment and smear campaign during and after production. Wallace denies any involvement in the alleged harassment or smear campaign.

A crisis management specialist is countersuing actress Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds , for defamation and extortion, seeking at least $400 million in damages. Jed Wallace and his company, Street Relations, filed the $7 million lawsuit in federal court in Texas on Tuesday, claiming he had no involvement in any campaign to harm Lively's reputation as she alleged.

Lively is embroiled in a separate legal battle against Justin Baldoni, the director of the film 'It Ends With Us', and his production company, alleging sexual and other harassment during the production and a subsequent smear campaign. Wallace is named in Lively's court filings and a New York Times article that ignited the legal firestorm in December when she filed her initial complaint. Wallace's lawsuit states that neither he nor his company engaged in the alleged sexual harassment, retaliation, failure to investigate, or aiding and abetting such harassment or retaliation. It also argues that Lively's claims against Wallace are baseless and that she is attempting to investigate his conduct only because she lacks evidence to support her allegations against him. This countersuit adds another layer to the already complex legal battle surrounding the film 'It Ends With Us'. The movie, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel, has been a box office success, grossing nearly $150 million domestically. However, its release has been marred by allegations of harassment, retaliation, and a coordinated smear campaign against Lively. The ongoing legal disputes threaten to overshadow the film's success and raise serious questions about the film industry's handling of sexual harassment claims
