According to the Salt Lake Police Department, there has been a 54% increase in arrests related to criminal activity along the Jordan River Trail and North Templ
As more people experiencing homelessness populate the Jordan River Trail in Salt Lake City, safety is becoming a rising concern. e — leading to over 150 arrests in 2024 so far.
“We have different resources available depending on need. We have ATVs that we've taken down there to get to harder-to-reach places for patrol cars, as well as electric bikes,” said Dalton Beebe, SLCPD detective PIO.
