A new fire in Utah that was caused by lightning will require helicopter transportation for crews working to contain it.
The Tangent Fire, discovered in Box Elder County on Monday, grew from 20 acres to 300 acres in less than a day's time.Located west of the Great Salt Lake in the Hogsup Mountain Range, there are no access roads to where the fire is burning, according to Utah Fire Info. Crews are being flown to the incident beginning Tuesday to fight the fire.
Authorities report the blaze is burning on a mix of state, private and Bureau of Land Management property and is zero percent contained. "Two state crews will be working the fire along with local, state and cooperator resources," according to Utah Fire Info's
