The annual Harrisburg New Year's Eve celebration has moved to FNB Field on City Island.

Harrisburg’s strawberry tested at City Island for New Year’s Eve 2021Workers with a crane hoisted Harrisburg’s New Year’s Eve strawberry above FNB Field on Tuesday as part of a test run.

In the past, the city rang in the new year at 1 N. Second St. at the Hilton Harrisburg by closing off a portion of North Second Street. Last year’s celebration was held virtually. New Year’s glasses and crowns will be distributed to the first 750 people. In addition, messages from community members and businesses will be displayed across a large board at the stadium ahead of midnight.
