JUST IN: Crews are responding to a large complex fire in Boulder. Avoid the area near Diagonal Highway and 28th Street.
Calls first came in around 5 a.m. for the fire at Aspen Grove Condominiums near Diagonal Highway and 28th Street, at 2880 Kalmia Avenue, according to Boulder Fire-Rescue.The Red Cross shared on social media that disaster action team volunteers were headed to the scene for what they called “a large multi-family fire.”
There is plenty of activity in the area, and good alternate routes include Folsom Street and Valmont Road. Boulder Fire-Rescue is currently on scene of an active structure fire at 2880 Kalmia Ave. Please avoid the area while we work on the fire. Media can stage at Diagonal Plaza at 2850 Iris Ave.
