About two months after two homes slid down a cliff in a landslide, developers EDGEhomes has started remediation efforts at the site, according to Draper City Manager David Dobbins. FULL STORY:
“That’s really the temporary fix for now,” said Dobbins.
They are still trying to figure out the best way to remove all the house debris that’s sitting below the site. Excavators onsite mentioned building a road in the area below to get to the debris, but the city manager said they're still working on the best, least impactful solution. They're also still working on a long-term solution for the whole area. For now, the temporary remediation solution should take several months to complete.“The onslaught of marathon of cars has definitely slowed down,” said Jason Vaughn, who lives near the site. "It's back to what we would say would be normal around here. The first week, when everything happened, it was just people coming every minute.
