Emergency responders and HAZMAT crews Wednesday were heading to a potential pipeline explosion in Pasadena, officials with the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office said.
A spokesperson for the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office said crews still were en route to the scene as of around 12:40 p.m., and information about what happened was limited.Around 12:15 p.m., an unknown chemical and fire incident broke out at an Oxy Chemicals facility in Pasadena, according to a Community Awareness Emergency Response alert. Staff at the plant were working with local officials to contain the blaze, and would provide further updates later.
Harris County HazMat is enroute to a possible pipeline explosion in the 3500 block of Pasadena Fwy. More information to come.
