SAN JOSE – Firefighters stopped the forward progress of a three-alarm brush fire that began burning Monday night in the San Jose foothills.The Quimby Fire was reported around 7:45 p.m. in the 4700 block of Quimby Road, according to the San Jose Fire Department and the Cal Fire Santa Clara Unit.As of 10:20 p.m., the fire had consumed 33 acres and was 5% contained, according to Cal Fire.
