Villanova suffered a heartbreaking loss to Creighton , 62-60, in a nail-biting Big East matchup at the Wells Fargo Center. Senior guard Wooga Poplar 's clutch steal and dunk with 19 seconds left brought Villanova within one point, but Creighton 's Steven Ashworth sank a game-winning three-pointer with just three seconds remaining, leaving the Wildcats to their sixth conference defeat.

Creighton mirrored their struggles, shooting only 1-for-14 from three-point range in the first half. However, Villanova capitalized on Creighton's turnovers, mounting a 12-2 run to reclaim the lead.
