A rewatch of the Rocky series has been made much better thanks to the Creed films and their redemption of the worst installment in the franchise. Creed is often counted as one of the best-ranked legacy sequels of all time due to its ability to stand on its own but also build on what came before. As questions over Creed 4's story are raised, the Rocky franchise becomes one of the more long-lasting as it nears its 10th installment.
When ranking the Rocky and Creed movies, it is often the first few from the former and all three of the latter that are regarded as the best installments.
