La preocupación ha aumentado en los últimos días a medida que los combates en los vecindarios de la Ciudad de Gaza se han acercado a los hospitales, que según Israel están siendo utilizados por los miembros de Hamás. Los palestinos dijeron el sábado que desde el hospital de Shifa, el más gran de del enclave, podía verse a las tropas israelíes.
