For many, Creamfields is a pivotal weekend that marks the transition from adolescence to adulthood
Welcoming 70,000 people daily beneath the arc of Creamfields, there's no question that this festival stands as one of the most significant occasions on the UK’s musical schedule.
While attendees journey from far and wide, the majority of the crowd is made up of young northerners. Similar to the races, festival enthusiasts have meticulously planned their outfits, with some rising early to visit the campsite pamper hub, for a fresh blow dry - despite the predictions of showers and thunderstorms.Charlotte Williams, 19, from Liverpool, was marking the end of summer with her friends, Keeley Jacobs and Tehya Gillibrand.
Also looking for a cathartic release was prospective Bootle Labour councillor, Anya McNally, 18, from Litherland. She said: “I’ve been doing my A-Levels, so this is a party, a release of all the stress.” Denise Rodgers, 41, is also at Creamfields with her friend for the first time. The mum from Durham said: “I’ve always wanted to go but I had my kids young, but now it’s my time.”
