Zak Crawley gets standing ovation and every Australia player shakes his hand after fine innings
The England opener hit a stunning knock of 189 to take England ahead of Australia in the fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford.All the Australia players showed their respect for Crawley after he was dismissedHe was a man on a mission having reached his century in just 93 balls, but he fell 11 short of the double hundred as he edged Cameron Green's ball onto his stumps.
Still, Crawley got a huge amount of credit for his innings with all those in attendance giving him a standing ovation, while every Australia player shook his hand as he made his way back to the pavilion. His innings, which saw him hit 24 fours and three sixes, embodied England's front-foot philosophy, which has been labelled as 'Bazball' - and fans were purring at Crawley's fine display.
Commenting on Crawley's innings, one fan said: "If this isn’t BazBall heritage then I don’t know what is."
