Craig Goldman was leading over Fort Worth businessman John O’Shea in early returns Tuesday night in the GOP primary runoff to replace U.S. Rep. Kay Granger, the Fort Worth Republican retiring after 27 years in Congress.
Goldman defended his impeachment vote, saying it was a matter of finding sufficient evidence for a trial. He said the Texas Senate implicitly agreed with that by rejecting Paxton’s bid to dismiss the matter without a trial, although senators ultimately acquitted Paxton.
