A volunteer team known as ' Crab Tech ' will be on standby at the Los Gatos Rotary 's annual Crab Fest and Auction on February 1st to assist attendees with any technical difficulties they may encounter while placing online auction bids. The event, which is the club's primary fundraising effort, will take place at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Saratoga from 5 to 9 p.m.

All proceeds from the 'crabonanza' will benefit the Los Gatos Rotary Charities Foundation, which awards grants to both local and international organizations in need. The festival promises a feast for crab lovers, with a $90 ticket granting access to unlimited crab, salad, soup, and dessert. Organizer Rachelle Lopp emphasizes the event's reliance on a dedicated team of volunteers, including Rotarians, Los Gatos Cub Scouts who assist with crab preparation, and high school students who contribute to serving the food. This festive gathering also highlights the collaborative spirit of the Los Gatos community. The Kiwanis Club of Los Gatos recently held a successful holiday market, raising funds to support youth leadership and community service clubs at local schools and making a $5,000 donation to the Live Oak Senior Nutrition and Services Center. Additionally, the club organizes monthly hikes on the second Saturday of each month, encouraging community members to engage in physical activity while contributing to a worthy cause. The next hike is scheduled for February 8th from 10:30 am to noon at Forbes Mill Annex. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for donation
