Volunteers handed out school supplies, and answered questions to get everyone prepared for the new school year.
"I think it's really good, because they're getting involved with the whole community together. So it's bringing everybody together," parent Patricia Rivera said. CPS is hosting a dozen more of these Back-to-School Bashes across the city leading up to the first day of school on Aug.
