Breaking: Zack Martin agrees to restructured contract to end Cowboys camp holdout, per GehlkenNFL

Martin’s average of $14 million had ranked ninth among the league’s guards when this holdout began. He will now average a little more than $18 million in these final two seasons.

Martin handled these negotiations behind the scenes as long as he possible. Club officials were aware of his stance during the offseason, but Martin never went public. When it was apparent that Martin wasn’t taking part in practice during the organized team activities open to the media in May and June, he told reporters it was because he was dealing with a soft tissue injury.
