Rush, 30, completed 13 of his 23 pass attempts for 45 yards and fumbled twice — the first of which came on Dallas’ second drive and led to Philadelphia’s first touchdown four plays later — in Sunday’s 34-6 loss to the Eagles. McCarthy acknowledged that he “didn’t get Cooper into a rhythm” and said that the Cowboys need to find better avenues to do so in the future.“Everybody has confidence in Cooper,” Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said.
“I thought he did some good things,” McCarthy said, “and did some things he can learn from.
