Cowboys assistants Scott Tolzien, Jeff Blasko receive promotions on Mike McCarthy’s staff
Of the six recent hires/promotions, only one coach is over 50,The recent promotions of Tolzien, 35, Blasko, 39 and Matthews, 37, all have ties to coach Mike McCarthy from previous jobs. They also joined McCarthy when he took over as the Cowboys’ head coach in 2020.
McCarthy said he’s looking for new voices within the staff and the recent promotions are from coaches who are highly valued in the organization.
