Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott might be on track to make his return this weekend., was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Joining him on the injury report was linebacker Anthony Barr , who was listed as out.
Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was more optimistic about Elliott’s status during an interview on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM] on Friday. “I do [think he’ll play],” Jones said. “Everything I’ve seen — I watched him yesterday, got a report on the practice. We’ll see how he looks out here in a few minutes, but I think he’s on the go.”
Elliott has been off for two weeks, missing the Bears game and having a bye week, to help in his return.this week. Coach Mike McCarthy said Elliott had a “good day of practice” on Thursday. “Tomorrow will be the final test,” McCarthy said on Friday. “But he took all of his reps in the team period Thursday.”
