Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott tied for the league lead last season with 15 interceptions and he only played 12 games. Today at Cowboys training camp, Dak made a guarantee.

– Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott tied for the league lead last season with 15 interceptions and he only played 12 games due to a broken thumb.“I am going to lessen my interception numbers,” Prescott said during his media session. “I am going to lessen my interception numbers. That is a guaranteed.”

The Cowboys have practiced twice since reporting to Oxnard and Prescott was picked off once in each session for a total of two interceptions.“Once again, just got to look at what the play is, look at the read, understand that it is football, right?” Prescott said. “Yesterday is tough. Today, as I said, it was 50/50. Maybe the ball gave them a little bit more percentage, I guess. But that’s part of it. I’m not going to stop being aggressive.

Dak is entering his 8th season in the NFL. Last year, he missed five games due to a broken right thumb. In 2020, he suffered a nasty ankle injury in week five that cost him the remainder of that season. His health is key for the Cowboys. “I mean, I feel great. Knock on wood,” he said. “I’d say physically and what I’m capable to do, my strength, throwing the ball, all of that by far is better than when I was 23 or even two years ago. But as far as dealing with things, I mean, as you get older and I feel that at times and when you had an ankle injury, it’s always a continuous checkup, and so always working on that.”“It goes by fast,” Dak said.
