Dak Prescott already beat Deshaun Watson in one key category on opening day.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — About five hours before the Browns and Cowboys kicked off in the Fox Game of the Week at 4:25 p.m., Dak Prescott beat Deshaun Watson in one key category for quarterbacks: guaranteed money.

Prescott, who became the highest paid player in the NFL at $60 million — and the lone member of the $60 million club — topped Watson by $1 million in the guaranteed money department. Here’s who’s performing at the Super Bowl in February 2025Watson remains the only player in NFL history with a fully guaranteed contract, which is why it rocked the NFL world when the Browns ventured into those uncharted waters just over two years ago.

“ complete confidence in his ability and his team having a lot of confidence in what he can do and him escaping and being able to get the ball out to them,” Garrett said. “He’s one of the few guys who can hold the ball one hand as he’s getting tackled and still dish it out wide or down the field because he’s not worried about the ball falling out of his hands while he’s being taken down. He’s always looking down field.
