Cowboys notebook: Jake Ferguson returns from concussion, focuses on getting back to work
. He missed one game and returned last week to play two in a five-day span. For the first time Monday, the rookie spoke publicly about the episode.
Ferguson said that the diagnosed concussion was his first, and it occurred on a collision when run blocking. He initially believed it was a neck issue, but when evaluated as part of the concussion protocol, his entire body become warm, and he developed nausea.In the days that followed, Ferguson experienced dizziness whenever he looked to his left or right. He was determined to have benign paroxysmal positional vertigo , which was treated. He felt recovered about a week after the concussion.
