Six veterans were scheduled to have a rest day Wednesday. Three of those, including WR CeeDee Lamb , are also dealing with an injury.

The other three players — wide receiver CeeDee Lamb , right guard Zack Martin and left tackle Tyron Smith — also carry an injury designation.The injury report does not estimate what Lamb, Martin and Smith’s practice volume would have been if not for their scheduled rest.
Dowdle worked out with director of rehabilitation Britt Brown during the period of practice that was open to reporters. He is considered further ahead than Hendershot, who was inactive last Sunday. Sean McKeon would be elevated Saturday for a second straight game if Hendershot is again out., but there is hope he can play in Santa Clara, Calif. Chuma Edoga would start at left tackle again if Smith is sidelined for a third straight week.
