The Dallas Cowboys quarterback, who has dealt with injuries throughout his career, got a scare in Thursday's practice.

During Sunday's Fox pregame show, NFL insider Jay Glazer reported that, actually, Prescott"felt like something popped" in his ankle and had to get the ankle X-rayed.
Prescott was wearing a new pair of cleats — the Jordan 11s he wore last season — during Thursday's practice and had to cut the practice short, so he showed up on the injury report as a"limited practice participant." He took part in the full practice Friday and told reporters,""I still feel the best that I've felt in a very, very long time," Prescott said Friday."Not even comparable to where I was last year going into this game.
Prescott missed the last 11 games of the 2020 season with the ankle injury, then he played through shoulder issues last year. The Cowboys, with an apparently healthy Prescott, open the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football.
