Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming had the highest positivity rate across the country in the last week, at 14.4 percent.
States in the Central, Northern and Pacific regions remain among the ones with the highest number of COVID-19 infections in the country despite a general drop at a national level, according to the latest data produced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention .Every week, the CDC produces a map tracking the virus positivity—the number of COVID-19 tests which return positive, one of the most reliable indicators of the impact of the disease in the community.

They're now the most affected states in the country, at 14.4 percent.Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington followed with a positivity rate of 11 percent, while Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas had a rate of 10.5 percent.The other states in the country to have a positivity rate above 10 percent were New Jersey and New York, with 10.1 percent.
