What’s seen as the world’s largest annual human migration is under way again in China for the Lunar New Year, after the country lifted pandemic restrictions. WSJ’s Yoko Kubota reports on how it’s expected to boost the economy–and the risk of new Covid-19 outbreaks.
Pandemic-related travel restrictions and lockdowns over the past 12 months slowed that flow to a trickle. China moved this year but the wave of Covid infections that followed has caused continued disruptions, Shazhou residents say.
