From Nov. 11 to Nov. 18, more than 140,000 children tested positive for the virus, up from 107,000 the week before, from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association. Children under age 18 make up about 22 percent of the U.S. population, and now account for about 25 percent of the country’s COVID caseload.
