Unrelated to Jackie’s case, 16 players and badminton officials, who recently returned from overseas competitions, are also being quarantined at the Academy Badminton Malaysia in Bukit Kiara. “These athletes and officials will be tested for Covid-19 tomorrow . The results will likely be known on the following day,” said Shapawi in Bukit Jalil yesterday.“There is a good possibility that Jackie had contracted the virus when he visited his father in Sarawak on March 11.
The NSC and National Sports Institute have formed a joint action committee to handle the Covid-19 pandemic.
